The San Leandro Public Library presents its first celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month with a free concert by the Oakland-East Bay Gay Men's Chorus on Saturday, June 16, 2:00 p.m. at the San Leandro Main Library, 300 Estudillo Avenue. While admission is free, the seating is limited.  Free tickets are available at the Main Library Information Desk.

Mayor Stephen Cassidy stated, "We enthusiastically welcome the Oakland-East Bay Gay Men’s Chorus to San Leandro for this inaugural LGBT pride celebration.  This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment by one of the Bay Area's premier choral groups."

The Oakland-East Bay Gay Men's Chorus will be performing a composer's concert, The Writes of Spring featuring Red Bennett's And Sings Our Love (text by Jon Muir), Jack Curtis Dubowsky's Quaker Peace Testimony, and arrangements by the Chorus’s own composers.

A reception with light refreshments will follow the concert.  For more information, call Bill Sherwood at (510) 577-7964.
