May 19, 2015

The City of San Leandro recently produced this new video celebrating the wave of public art that is currently spreading throughout the city. With an incredible new mural from acclaimed artist Rigo 23, one the region’s largest murals on the Preferred Freezer building, a fast-growing utility box art program, and an artist community growing at The Gate, San Leandro has taken great strides in promoting arts and culture.

This is just the beginning - please keep an eye on San Leandro Next for news on additional art projects in the near future.

Please refer to the City of San Leandro Street Sweeping webpage for additional details and a map of the affected areas. This is being proposed as a 6-month pilot project, at which time the effectiveness of the modification will be assessed and a determination will be made whether to make it permanent.
