Economic Development efforts in San Leandro are guided by an Economic Development Strategy , a document first adopted by the City Council in 1997, and designed to create a positive environment for investment in the local economy.
Currently, efforts are underway to adopt a Work Plan which reflects the current economic drivers in San Leandro. A Draft Economic Development Initiatives & Work Plan was presented to City Council on May 13, 2013 and City staff is seeking input from the community on the plan. The Work Plan is intended to inventory and categorize ongoing and planned economic development projects and programs in San Leandro.
