On February 1, 2012, the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency was officially dissolved as a result of actions taken by the California State Legislature. The City of San Leandro will serve as the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency for the purposes of managing ongoing payment obligations and liquidating assets.
A seven-member Oversight Board has been appointed and will be charged with overseeing the approval of Recognized Obligation Payment Schedules and real estate transactions for the former Redevelopment Agency.
