Inspections are required for all permitted work in the City of San Leandro. The purpose of inspections is to ensure that the work meets the construction and installation requirements of applicable codes. These inspections are required for all work that is performed. Inspection requests should be made at least one day in advance. Inspection requests are now scheduled through our online permitting system which can be found on the Building and Safety Division homepage called "Online Permits By Accela". You must log in and register either yourself or your company to schedule inspections. Link to Online Permits by Accela is provide (http://f/Accela/Accela%20User%20Guide%20Citizen%20Access.pptx). Once you have registered; you can schedule all inspections, see result of inspection once completed, track your your project submittal, and review permit history. If you have trouble registering for inspection, please contact the Building And Safety Division at 510-577-3405 and we will assist you in the registeration process. We would like to thank you for your patience, through this transition of inspection scheduling.
Normal inspections are performed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00p.m. If you prefer, you may request a morning or afternoon inspection. After-hour and weekend inspections are available at an additional cost. A two-business day advance notice is requested. Our staff will accommodate your time schedule whenever possible. Our inspection staff can be reached directly every morning between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., and every afternoon between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
