Davis Street Transfer Station Master Plan Improvements

Implementation of the Master Plan approved by City of San Leandro's Board of Zoning Adjustments in the Conditional Use Permit modification (CU-96-1) approved February 1998. Build out of the master plan activities, which entitled Waste Management of Alameda County to process up to 5,600 tons per day, include: Food Waste/Organics Recycling Facility (62,000 sf); Food Waste/Organics/Green Waste Compost Facility (200,000 sf); Public Receiving Enclosure (62,000 sf); Employee Building (9,000 sf); Vehicle Maintenance (7,000 sf); Single-Stream Expansion Line (13,000 sf).

Environmental Review

An Initial Study/Negative Declaration (IS/ND) for the proposed Master Plan Improvements at Davis Street Transfer Station (DSTS) has been prepared by the City of San Leandro Community Development Department. A link to this document is found below

The 30-day review period is from November 23, 2010 through December 22, 2010.  . Comments on the proposed Negative Declaration should be provided in writing to the San Leandro Community Development Department, 835 East 14th Street, San Leandro, CA  94577 by December 22, 2010 by 4:00 p.m. or email sbarros@sanleandro.org.

Site Plan Review Zoning Enforcement Official Hearing

The proposal is being processed through an administrative Site Plan Review to be presented to the Zoning Enforcement Official at a public hearing in January 2011 for his review and determination.  The time and place of the Zoning Enforcement Official administrative hearing is:
