Candidate Information
The 2016 Candidate Information List will be updated as individuals take out and return their nomination papers, and when they have qualified as candidates. After the close of the nomination period, this list will have the names, contact information, ballot designations, and links to the Candidate Statement and campaign disclosure forms for all of the qualified candidates in the San Leandro City election. Sign up here to receive updates on candidates as they are posted.

The materials submitted by each candidate are available for public review at the City Clerk's Office during a 10-calendar-day public examination of election materials.


Nomination Period
The candidate nomination period for the November 4, 2014 General Municipal Election is open from July 18, 2016 to August 12, 2016. Call the City Clerk at (510) 577-3367 or email tgreenwood@sanleandro.org to schedule an appointment to obtain nomination papers.

Extended Nomination Period
The candidate nomination period will be extended five (5) days – until August 17, 2016 – for any office for which an eligible incumbent does not file nomination papers. 


Write-In Candidacy
Anyone who desires to be a write-in candidate may obtain and file the necessary forms between September 12 and October 25, 2016. Call the City Clerk at (510) 577-3367 or email tgreenwood@sanleandro.org for more information. A write-in candidate's name does not appear on the ballot and must be written in by the voter.
