San Leandro Public Library Summer Reading Program 2013 

For Babies through Grade 12, June 3 – August 9, 2013

  The San Leandro Library’s FREE Summer Reading Program is a fun way to stay engaged in reading and learning over the summer! Kids of all ages can participate to earn prizes! Join the Summer Reading Program, “Reading Is So Delicious!” at any branch of the San Leandro Public Library (Main, Manor, Mulford-Marina or South) starting on Monday, June 3, 2013.

Baby/Toddler "Read To Me" Program for ages 0 to 2

Parents, it’s never too early to read to your kids. Starting on June 3, read ten books to your baby or toddler, record the names of the books in our special reading log, turn it in by Friday, August 9, and your little one will get a free board book, an invitation to the library’s Carnival, plus passes to local museums and a Mini Murph™ pizza kit from Papa Murphy’s.   

Kid's Summer Reading Program for ages 3 to grade 6

Kids, pick up your reading journal on June 4 or any day after, and start reading or listening to books! Write short reports on the books you read or listen to, then bring us your book reports any time the library is open and earn points you can use at our Prize Board!  Read and report on ten books by Friday, August 10 to get an invitation to the library’s end-of-summer Carnival on Saturday, August 11, plus passes and coupons to local attractions like Chabot Space and Science Center, Children’s Fairyland, the Oakland Zoo, and more! Plus, this summer, finishers will receive a free Mini Murph™ Make ‘N’ Bake pizza kit from Papa Murphy’s! 


Teen Summer Reading Program for grades 7 to 12

Teens, join the reading program starting on June 3, and get a free book just for joining! Write short reports on the books you read at your grade level. Earn points for each book you read to use at the teens-only prize board. Read and report on ten books by Friday, August 9 to get an invitation to our end-of-summer party held on Friday, August 16!
