The San Leandro Police Department is looking for a few good men and women!

San Leandro Police Volunteers urgently needs qualified individuals to assist with fleet vehicle cleaning and maintenance.

San Leandro Police Volunteers are trained to perform various duties that support the department. In addition to fleet vehicle maintenance, volunteers file and scan records, enter data and assist with office tasks. Volunteers also assist with uniformed patrol at public events.

Volunteer work with the Police Department is rewarding and instructive. The San Leandro Police Volunteers provides opportunities for San Leandro residents to learn more about their community and the many ways that police personnel provide a safe environment and serve the public. At the same time, San Leandro Police Volunteers contribute much needed support services that benefit their neighbors and friends. Applicants must be 50 years of age and over, in good health and available for duties four hours per week.
