The City's Neighborhood Cleanup event is designed to promote reuse and recycling of unwanted household goods. Host a Garage Sale at your house in the morning. The City will advertise participating households in the San Leandro Times (registration by May 10, 2012 is required). Later, drop-off electronics, appliances, tires, wood, fluorescent lamps, batteries, mattresses and scrap metal at Alameda County Industries (ACI).

Citywide Garage Sale - 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
We have over 300 homes participating in the Citywide Garage Sale! If you missed the deadline to register, you can still obtain garage sale tips and signage to host your sale, click here.

Recycling Event - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Bring electronics, wood/yard trimmings, scrap metal, appliances, mattresses, batteries, fluorescent lights and tires to Alameda County Industries (ACI) for recycling.
