This is a comprehensive watershed education program funded by the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, and is supported by the City of San Leandro and implemented by the Friends of San Leandro Creek. A watershed is a geographic area from which all water drains to a given body of water. The San Leandro Creek Watershed is a drainage basin 48 square miles in area, from which all water flows into San Leandro Creek. Keeping the watershed clean will help San Leandro Creek stay clean and if San Leandro Creek is clean, fewer pollutants will reach the Bay.
