Community Assistance Grant Program (CAP)
Request for Funding Applications, 2017-18 Fiscal Year

The Recreation and Human Services Department announces the availability of funds for nonprofit organizations serving the San Leandro community.  The Community Assistance Grant Program (CAP) provides financial support to non-profits providing human services and programs for individuals and families living in San Leandro. The Request for Funding Applications (RFA) is for a one-year funding cycle covering fiscal year 2017-2018. CAP is funded by the City of San Leandro general fund and federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) fund from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).  The minimum grant is $10,000.  Applications must be received by March 23 at 4:00 pm.  Incomplete applications will not be reviewed for funding.

 

The City will look for applications that address the following areas:  Food, Shelter, Mental Health, Domestic Violence and Health Care Services. The Community Assistance Grant Program (CAP) provides financial support to non-profits providing social services and programs for individuals and families living in San Leandro.  CAP is funded with federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) annually allocates to the City.
