Community Assistance Grant Program

The Community Assistance Grant Program (CAP) provides financial support to non-profits providing social services and programs for individuals and families living in San Leandro.  CAP is funded with federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) annually allocates to the City.  Grants are issued on a two-year grant cycle through a competitive grant process.

The Community Assistance Grant Program (CAP) provides financial support to non-profits providing social services and programs for individuals and families living in San Leandro.  The City of San Leandro is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the two-year funding cycle covering fiscal years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015.  CAP is funded with federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) annually allocates to the City.  Second year funding is contingent on available funds.  The Human Services Commission and staff will review each proposal, assess the program eligibility and make funding recommendations to the City Council.
