We are happy to announce West with Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge as our Community Read book for 2024!

Join us as we dive into this historical fiction novel,  inspired by a true story, which follows a young man and his adventure driving two giraffes cross-country to the San Diego Zoo in 1938.
The library will be giving out free copies of the book and hosting programs inspired by the book. Free books will be available starting at our kick-off event with the East Bay Vivarium on March 7th! Come by any branch afterward for your free copy when you sign up for a book discussion. Books available while supplies last.
