San Leandro Library Presents "My Voice, Our Stories" a California Humanities Program


San Leandro Public Library presents “My Voice, Our Stories”, an 8-session storytelling workshop for teens in grades 9-12 from immigrant families. Participants will learn oral storytelling, alongside leadership and mindfulness skills.

  • 8-session storytelling workshop taught by translator and storyteller Alma Jurado 
  • Open to teens in grades 9-12 who are from immigrant families 
  • Public performance of stories 
  • Learn storytelling, leadership, and mindfulness skills 
  • Earn a $200 honorarium for participation
