Born and raised in the Bay Area, Fred is a proud resident and homeowner in San Leandro since 1996 where he and his wife enjoy their family life with two growing sons.  Fred is a Boy Scout leader in San Leandro and also enjoys walking, hiking and biking throughout San Leandro with his family, including their rescue chihuahua - dachshund (chiweenie) Max.

Key Priorities

Investing in community equity and quality of life, bringing in new housing and businesses, fighting climate change, police reform, eliminating homelessness, increasing safety and beautifying San Leandro.


Fred is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the state of California, with over 25 years engineering experience in the Bay Area, having worked at the Contra Costa Water District and the East Bay Municipal Utility District. 


Fred earned his Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University (1996) and Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Davis (1994).

 Fred graduated from St. Mary’s College High School in Berkeley (1989) and St. Augustine Elementary School in Oakland (1985).

Community chats are normally held on the First Saturday of the month, 9 a.m., at  (a new location) Washington Manor Park, 14900 Zelma St., San Leandro, behind the pool near the basketball court. All are welcome to join and share ideas on improving our environment and community!
