Personal
Xouhoa is driven to create positive change and is a passionate advocate for working families, parents, and children. She believes that every person deserves the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and strives to empower others to thrive. Xouhoa is the first woman of Asian descent to serve on the San Leandro City Council. She is proud to raise her three young children in San Leandro and is honored to continue the work of uplifting the community by serving as the District 5 Representative on City Council. Occupation/Professional Experience
Xouhoa is the Director of Strategic Development for San Leandro Boys and Girls Clubs. She leads the strategic growth of the organization and innovative initiatives to serve the whole child. She previously served in the Peace Corps in Kyrgyzstan as a teacher and community development specialist focusing on education and gender equality. In 2016, Xouhoa founded Community Impact LAB (CIL), a grassroots organization in San Leandro that focuses on achieving gender equality, empowering communities to make social and environmental impact, and help address economic and racial justice issues through education and civic engagement.
