Thank you for thinking of the San Leandro Public Library for book donations. The Library welcomes donations of books, new magazines, DVDs and audio books that are in good, clean condition. All such donated items become the property of the San Leandro Public Library.
Donated items will be reviewed for possible addition to the library collection. Criteria for adding materials include currency, condition and relevance to the Library's collection development guidelines. Items not added to the collection may be given to the Friends of the San Leandro Library. The Library is under no obligation to add donated materials to the collection or to notify the donor of the disposition of the items.
All donated items must be delivered to the Main Library. Donations should be placed in small boxes or shopping bags.
If you have a small donation of 2 bags or 2 small boxes that you can comfortable carry in your arms, you are welcome to drop off your donation at the circulation desk of the Main Library during our open hours. Boxes and bags must be light enough for our staff to safely carry.
If you have a larger donation, please contact Angelica Peña at 510-577-3986 to make arrangements for delivery.
