The Friends of the San Leandro Library is a non-profit organization comprised of community volunteers who help generate funds to support the San Leandro Library and its three neighborhood library branches. They also award 5 scholarships a year to local high school students who volunteered for the Library. They encourage membership in the Friends, selling gifts at the Friends Gift Shop and selling used books at the Booktique bookstore and at the semiannual book sales.
