Fields and Tennis Courts

The City of San Leandro Recreation and Human Services Department oversees an assortment of baseball, softball, soccer fields and tennis courts designed to host various levels of tournament and league play for local, regional or state competitions. Any group (personal or organizational) that is requesting the use of City fields and facilities for operating tournaments, leagues, practices and programs must obtain a permit and adhere to the terms and policies.

Fields Season runs from March 1st - October 31st

City tennis courts are available year-round. Fields and tennis courts will not be available for rental on City holidays unless the request is approved by the Recreation and Human Services Department.

The City of San Leandro Offers 4 Fields for Baseball Use:

Baseball Fields are available for reservation between Mar 1st - Oct 31st. All fields are closed on City holidays. 

Field Prep (Dragging and chalking the field, including bases), is available for an additional fee.

  1. San Leandro Ball Park: Locked venue, tailored for youth or adult games only. This field is an enclosed pro-sized lighted venue with night game capability, state-of-the-art public announcing system, Nevco LED scoreboard, field-level dugouts, pro mounds/bullpens and cement seating on both baselines and behind home plate. (Scoreboard and score booth are currently non-operational, and in the process of being fixed).
  2. Stenzel Fields: 
    • Stenzel Field 2: Locked venue, tailored for youth or adult games or practices. Includes pro dimensions, outdoor dugouts and pro mounds/bullpens. There is a grassy area for spectators to bring chairs and blankets along both baselines. This field is adjacent to BBQ areas, children's playground, and a tot lot. (Scoreboards currently non-operational).
    • Stenzel Field 3:  Locked venue, tailored for youth 8 years and under, games or practices. Bleachers on-site.
    • Stenzel Field 4: Locked venue, tailored for T-Ball games or practices. Bleachers on-site.
  3. Washington Manor Field 1 or 2: Unlocked venue for youth practices. Lights available at Field 1.
    • Washington Manor Field 1 only: Unlocked venue for adult practices. Lights available.
  4. Washington Manor Middle School Field: Locked venue for youth practices only.
