Junior Giants
This Program is open to all youth, ages 5-13. Players will receive all necessary equipment to play. Junior Giants is a non-competitive baseball/softball program. Score is not kept, games are self-officiated, and the program centers around player success rather than the final score.

WHAT WE PROVIDE
As a reminder, you are not required to purchase any baseball/softball gear for your child to join and participate with the Junior Giants. We are thrilled to announce that each player this season will receive:
- Reversible Giants jersey
- Gray baseball/softball pants
- Hat
- A glove, if you don't have one of your own!
- Water Bottle
HOW TO REGISTER A PLAYER:
- Step 1: Click HERE to register for the San Leandro League. (gojrgiants.org)
- Step 2: Find your child’s age division and click “register”.
- Step 3: Create an MLB account. If you already have one, sign in and click “connect accounts.”
- Step 4: Fill in your contact information and sign the digital waivers to complete your registration.
- Step 5: Download the Junior Giants App (Apple Store/Google Play) - we will be using this for communication once the season begins in June!
- Step 6: Watch our Junior Giants University video on the app to get ready for the season!
- FAQ:
- Waitlist: Each division has limited space, and there is a waitlist option if registration is filled. If you are still not able to register, that most likely means that the registration space and waitlist space are both full.

Please see the following practice and game schedules, sorted by division, for the 2023 season. On each schedule, please note the day and time, team name, and field location.
- Practices will be held once a week, and take place between Monday - Friday at Washington Manor Park or Thrasher Park.
- Games will be held once a week, usually on Saturdays, but potentially on a Thursday. Jerseys will be handed out closer to the first scheduled game. Please have your child wear a shirt or tank top under their jersey on game days so that they can flip it to their team color, which will be assigned the day of.
**Of Note: We will be utilizing the Junior Giants App primarily to post team rosters and specific practice and game schedules for each team closer to when the season will start. (Updates to follow). Please download the Junior Giants App (Apple Store/ Google Play) which will be one of our primary forms of communication once the season begins. Practice and Game Schedules will still be available below as well.

All volunteers receive:
- Training - No experience needed!
- Practice Plans to follow along with a Lead Coach to guide you
- Shirt and hat
- Giants tickets at the end of the season
