Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace Walk - Discover Peace in Nature

The City of San Leandro invites the community to honor the spirit, work, and relevant words of Dr. King, Jr. on Monday, January 17, with a self guided nature walk.

Get outside with the whole family, including pets (on a leash), to celebrate MLK Jr.’s legacy and find peace in the beauty of nature.

  • Oyster Bay Loop – easy 2.3 mi loop
  • San Leandro Creek Trail West and San Francisco Bay Trail Loop & MLK Jr. Shoreline – easy 2.4 mi loop
  • West Shore Trail – moderate 4.6 mi out & back
• Wear purple in solidarity with MLK’s principles of peace and justice
