The Friends of San Leandro Creek (FSLC) is a watershed education program funded by the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District with support from the City of San Leandro. The group's mission is to restore San Leandro Creek and to promote a healthy environment for its native flora and fauna.
FSLC hosts spring and fall events that promote watershed awareness. Join them for watershed walks, creek cleanups, environmental talks and much more. Free school field trips (in class or at the Creek) are available. Restoration projects to remove non-native plant species and place Bay Friendly landscaping is ongoing . Volunteer opportunities with school credit are available upon request for students, Eagle Scout candidates or community members.
