Homeless Navigation Centerslhc client strategies

The City of San Leandro is currently in negotiations to purchase a building to develop a short and long term homeless navigation center.  The City has also received other proposals for ongoing consideration of navigation centers at other locations.


First Responder Unit

The City of San Leandro has authorized a first responder unit with a firefighter paramedic and a nurse practitioner with a psych background to respond to community calls for mental health. Planning for this  program is underway.


Domestic Violence Mobile Response Unitbuilding futures hug

Family Violence Law Center (FVLC) together with Building Futures with Women and Children (BFWC) and Safe Alternatives from Violent Environments (SAVE) will develop a Domestic Violence Mobile Response Unit to coordinate survivor advocacy efforts and services in San Leandro.


Recreational Vehicle (RV) Safe Parking Zone

The City of San Leandro is developing multiple programs that will allow those experiencing homelessness and living out of their RV’s to have access to safe, free and low barrier parking to continue living in their vehicles while receiving wrap around services and case management.
