The San Leandro Historical Society, San Leandro Public Library and History Museum present a free screening of the Russell City documentary THE APOLOGY featuring a Q&A with the filmmakers. This feature-length documentary investigates a time in the 1960s when Alameda County and the City of Hayward dismantled the entire community of Russell City, pushing 1,400 residents out of their homes and off their land - all to claim the 200 acres for an industrial park.

The San Leandro History Museum will feature their traveling exhibit “Redlining and Housing Discrimination in San Leandro” available to view before and after the screening.
