The project is in it’s design phase with an estimated half a million dollar budget. The expansion will start from the intersection of Williams Street and Doolittle Drive, and proceed around the shoreline to connect at existing facilities on Wicks Boulevard.
The project is in the second phase of our 2013 “Fiber Conduit for Broadband Network Project”. As an addition, traffic signals will be incorporated into the fiber loop along Doolittle Drive at Marina Boulevard and Fairway Drive.
The project funds are provided by the America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which aim to provide communities with access to high speed broadband as it aids members in the community in tasks such as job searches, homework , and much more.
