  • AC Transit Service Update 3/23: Rear Door Boarding and No Fare Period Effective Monday, March 23, 2020; several suspended lines and service reductions reported. Visit AC Transit News for regular updates.
  • BART COVID-19 Updates Page reports a temporary reduction in service hours based on new ridership data. Page updated regularly.
  • East Bay Paratransit service is limited to areas within 3/4 mile of an operating bus route or BART station. Call 510-287-5000 for times & locations.

Food & Food Delivery

UPDATE 4/29: The Alameda County Social Services Agency and Emergency Operations Center have launched an interactive map for Alameda County residents in need to search for emergency food and other resources near them, Available Online Here.

UPDATE 4/22: The San Leandro Food Resource Guide has been updated with the most up-to-date information, operating hours, locations, and contact numbers.

NEW 4/22: The Food Resources Map has been updated.

  • Spectrum Community Services at the Senior Community Center remains operational.
  • Mercy Brown Bag twice-monthly grocery bag distributions at the Senior Community Center remains operational.

Outdoor Activities

Updates from Local School Districts

UPDATE 4/1: San Leandro and San Lorenzo Unified School Districts have announced school closures through the end of the acedmic year. Click here for the SLUSD Update.

San Leandro Unified School District. “Our free meal service for all children 18 and under will continue throughout this closure, including next week during Spring Break. Service days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 am -12 pm at the following locations:

  • San Leandro High School - 2200 Bancroft Avenue
  • John Muir Middle School - 1444 Williams Street
  • Monroe Elementary School - 3750 Monterey Boulevard"

“[W]e are planning to suspend in school instruction for students beginning Monday, March 16 through Monday, April 6th. Additional adjustments to the school calendar may need to be made, pending guidance from state and local officials.”
