SAN LEANDRO, CA: In honor of Native American Heritage Month, the San Leandro Public Library will be partnering with the California Indian Basketweavers' Association (CIBA) to offer a free bear grass weaving workshop on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents are invited to join CIBA teachers as they discuss traditional gathering of weaving materials and its importance to the Native American people of Northern California.

Teachers will lead a hands-on workshop and help participants create a weaving project. This workshop is open to participants 12 years and older and all supplies for the workshop will be provided.
