SAN LEANDRO, CA: The City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Unified School District (SLUSD) invite the public to attend the Luna Mexicana ballet performance by the Oakland Ballet Company in celebration of Dia de los Muertos on October 18, 2018. The event will take place at the San Leandro High School’s Arts Education Center with three performances. Morning performances are exclusively for school district students and staff while the evening performance is for San Leandro residents.

“We are excited to bring back this popular event for San Leandrans as it was delightful to see everyone’s smiles,” said Mayor Pauline Russo Cutter. “Working together with the School District to provide an all-age, family-friendly event is important and it’s an opportunity to bring the community together once again.”
The Oakland Ballet Company is a non-profit performing arts organization that reflects the rich diversity of Oakland and the greater East Bay. Founded in 1965, the Oakland Ballet Company’s mission is to provide accessible, relevant, and exciting dance for diverse communities. This is the second year San Leandro is hosting the ballet company for a community performance in conjunction with SLUSD.
