For Small Businesses

COVID-19 Business Continuity Grant Program provides of up to $5,000 to small businesses to help them continue operations during the COVID-19 public health emergency.
The Temporary Outdoor Facility Registration Program allows businesses to utilize outdoor areas on public and private property for outdoor dining and retail sales in compliance with Alameda County's Health Order. Guidelines and a registration form can be found on the program's website. 
 For service during the COVID-19 closure period, staff are responding by phone and email.

The department houses the City's Permit Center, where Building and Planning staff are available to answer questions and assist with planning and permit needs. The Community Development Department has multi-lingual staff and translation services available. San Leandro's Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Adjustments meetings are broadcast live as they happen on local public access television (Comcast channel 15 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99) and via the City’s website through Meeting Central. Meetings are also replayed on television throughout the month. Regular meetings are held in City Hall on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm.
