Free access to the New York Times 


The California State Library is hosting free online subscriptions to the New York Times for California libraries.  After creating an account, you will unlock all regular newspaper content, all multimedia, and Spanish and Mandarin Chinese versions of the paper.

To access for the first time:

1.) Click the New York Times image below

2.) A new window will open, click “Redeem”

3.) Create a New York Times account following the instructions on the screen

4.) Enjoy!

After redeeming the code, and creating an account, you will only need to log in to your NYTimes.com account to continue having access to the newspaper.
