Announcing the launch of Project Teen Lounge!

We are pleased to announce the launch of Project Teen Lounge, a series of after-school programs for teens in grades 6-12. Programs will launch virtually starting in January 2021.

January programs include: Let’s Play: Among Us (January 12), art-making with recycled materials (January 13, 20, & 27), a career speaker (January 19) and a resume/cover letter workshop (January 26). Registration is open now!

The City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Public Library continue to stand united against hate

In the face of escalating violent attacks against Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities the City of San Leandro and the Library stand in unity with our AAPI communities. The City of San Leandro condemns these assaults and incidents of anti-Asian sentiment. We stand in solidarity with our AAPI colleagues and community in denouncing racism and expression of hate, discrimination, and xenophobia of any kind.

The San Leandro Public Library is excited to announce two important changes effective March 1, 2021: The Library is going overdue fine free and eliminating its fee card policy! Both policy changes are being implemented to continue to make the San Leandro Public Library a more inclusive and equitable place for all patrons.
