Get ready to clean out those closets, attics, yards and garages!  The City's Neighborhood Cleanup Event is designed to promote proper disposal of household items.  San Leandro residents are invited to drop off a variety of items at a designated recycling facility.

What to bring:

  • Appliances (small & large)
  • Household batteries
  • Mattresses
  • Fluorescent light tubes and bulbs
  • Passenger tires – LIMIT 9 tires (rims ok)
  • CDs, DVDs, audio and video cassettes
  • Metal
  • Cell phones and chargers
  • Electronics (computers, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, etc)
  • Yard Waste (clean wood, tree trimmings, brush, etc)

    Requirements:

    • One car or truck load per household

    • No construction materials (dirt, rock, concrete, or fixtures)
    • No hazardous chemicals (paint, pesticides, auto fluids, car batteries, etc.)

    Residents that registered prior to the deadline will receive a Neighborhood Cleanup Event postcard invitation to access the drop off event approximately one week prior to the event.
