The City of San Leandro's FLEX RIDES program is offering San Leandro residents ages 60+ FREE Uber transportation to receive COVID-19 vaccinations at any vaccination clinic in Alameda County. Click here for more information.

Spectrum Lunch Program
Daily meals to-go available for seniors ages 60+. Lunch distributions curbside to your vehicle are available Monday through Friday, 12:00pm - 12:30pm at the San Leandro Senior Community Center. Please call 1 (510) 825-9793 at least 72 hours in advance to make a meal reservation. All new participants will be required to enroll.
Mercy Brown Bag
Mercy Brown Bag program distributes groceries to seniors ages 60+ throughout Alameda County twice a month, free of charge. Depending on availability, each bag is brimming with nutritious items, such as fresh milk, tomatoes, green peppers, potatoes, carrots, oatmeal, plums, canned goods, low-sodium spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, tuna, eggs and more. Applicants must meet eligible age and household income requirements and must complete an application before receiving a bag of groceries. Starting August 9th, Mercy Brown Bag pickup will be walk-up distribution only. Please park and join the line near the entrance. Please stand in line maintaining 6 ' of distance.

Life Change Baptist Church is hosting a food pantry to the community every 4th Saturday of each month. All are welcome. Walk in or Drive in services provided. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Designed for seniors living with Type 2 Diabetes. Students will learn the skills to better manage their diabetes. Topics include medication
management, blood glucose monitoring, meal planning to control blood sugar, ways to manage stress, get active and prevent complications. This course is presented in partnership with Alameda County Public Health and may only be taken once. If possible, prior to the first class, please have your latest A1-C and Blood Pressure reading from your doctors office.
FLEX RIDES programs are operating at their NEW scheduled times. FLEX Shuttle operates Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays 8:30am - 5:30pm. FLEX RIDES On Demand subsidized rides will be available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year.

Caring for our Senior LGBTQ Partners/Friends and Ourselves
A Free 10 session group serving the full spectrum of senior LGBTQ+ community members caring for LGBTQ partners/friends and ourselves as we age. The group will focus on facing medical conditions, caregiver concerns, and issues of aging through personal exploration, group support, and education.

PG&E's Medical Baseline Program -The Medical Baseline Program, also known as Medical Baseline Allowance, is an assistance program for residential customers who depend on power for certain medical and independent living needs. The program includes two different kinds of help: A lower rate on your monthly energy bill and Extra notifications in advance of a Public Safety Power Shutoff.
