If you have been utilizing downtown parking since fees were suspended due to COVID-19, it’s time to go back to regularly scheduled parking fees on July 1. With curbside pick-up, the reopening of retail, and outdoor seating for restaurants, on-street parking compliance is essential in managing turnover for businesses who rely on customers accessing their locations throughout the day.
This is a phased approach to bring back paid parking, allowing time to notify parkers who have gotten used to our limited enforcement the last couple of months.
Starting July 1st, Parking Enforcement will begin issuing warnings for paid parking device time or permit parking zone stay violations. No monetary penalty will be issued for a first time warning; however, penalties will be assessed for subsequent violations.
Starting July 15th, Parking Enforcement will resume full enforcement of paid parking devices and permit parking zones and warnings will no longer be issued.
