Downtown San Leandro Farmers' Market

The health and safety of the community is our highest priority. In light of recent events related to coronavirus (COVID-19), the City has declared a State of Emergency. A Shelter In Place order is currently in effect as of March 17, 2020.The Farmers' Market is currently operating in a modified capacity in order to comply with social distancing guidelines.

Market services are modified to focus only on the necessary purchasing of food and allow for social distancing and safe food handling.  Safety modifications will include:

  • Absolutely no sampling
  • Hot food is to go only
  • Information booth will only have information on the coronavirus – no recipes or other info
  • Tents will be spaced so as to reduce customer density
  • No live music or entertainment
  • No chairs, tables or other sitting areas

Customers are encouraged to practice further safe practices, including:

  • Be sure to thoroughly wash all fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Practice social distancing, do not form lines, and shop quickly to allow others space.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and often, for at least 20 seconds.
  • If you are sick, stay home and ask a friend or family member to pick things up for you instead.
  • Wash your reusable produce bags between visits.
  • Only touch fruit/veggies that you intend to buy or have the farmer pick out your produce.

The San Leandro Farmers' Market offers the best in fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables and family fun all summer long.

Every Wednesday between April and October (exact schedule varies from year to year), from 4 - 8 pm, Parrott Street in downtown San Leandro is transformed into a vibrant marketplace of sweet, juicy, tree-ripened fruits; delicious, healthy, just-picked vegetables; beautiful fresh-cut flowers; gourmet foods; and tasty snacks.

Be there each week to enjoy the best of local produce, the best in family fun, and the best of your community. The San Leandro Downtown Farmers' Market 2021 Season will run from March 24 through October 6.
